Microsoft-backed (MSFT) OpenAI said Tuesday that it raised $122 billion in a funding round that values the company $852 billion.
The investors in the funding round included its partners Amazon (AMZN), Nvidia (NVDA), and SoftBank, as well as Microsoft, the company said.
SoftBank was among the leaders of the funding round, along with a16z, D.E. Shaw Ventures, MGX, TPG, and accounts advised by T. Rowe Price (TROW)
The company said it has been the fastest technology platform to reach 10 million users, 100 million users, and soon expects to achieve 1 billion weekly users.
The company said that it is now generating $2 billion in revenue a month. "We are growing revenue four times faster than the companies who defined the Internet and mobile eras, including Alphabet and Meta," the company said.
The ChatGPT maker also said that it has expanded its revolving credit facility to around $4.7 billion.
