Front Month Nymex Natural Gas for May delivery lost 22.50 cents per million British thermal units, or 7.44% to $2.8000 per million British thermal units this week

 

--Largest one week net and percentage decline since the week ending Feb. 6, 2026

--Down 12 of the past 17 weeks

--Today it is down 1.90 cents or 0.67%

--Down for four consecutive sessions

--Longest losing streak since Tuesday, Jan. 6, 2026, when the market fell for five straight sessions

--Lowest settlement value since Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2025

--Off 62.47% from its 52-week high of $7.46 hit Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026

--Up 3.86% from its 52-week low of $2.696 hit Monday, Aug. 25, 2025

--Down 32.33% from 52 weeks ago

--Off 62.47% from its 2026 settlement high of $7.46 hit Wednesday, Jan. 28, 2026

--Off 81.79% from its record high of $15.378 hit Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2005

--Year-to-date it is down 88.60 cents or 24.04%
