1212 ET - As Tesla released weaker than expected 1Q delivery figures, Baird said the miss in its energy storage business was the big takeaway. Tesla deployed 8.8 GWh of energy storage in 1Q versus Baird's/consensus estimates of 13.2/14.4 GWh, respectively. "We have previously called out the Energy business growth trajectory as a key item to monitor in 2026 from the perspective of both volume and impact to the P&L, and this print was a negative surprise," the analysts say in a research note. "While we acknowledge that deployments can be lumpy due to project timing, we suspect this will weigh on the stock in the near-term." Tesla falls 4%. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
