The Lockheed Martin-built (LMT) Orion spacecraft has launched Wednesday from Kennedy Space Center in Florida as part of NASA's Artemis II mission to the moon.
Boeing (BA) built the core stage of NASA's space launch system rocket, while L3Harris Technologies (LHX) provided propulsion and avionics for the mission. The companies said the Artemis II mission is expected to span 10 days.
Boeing said it is also building the next core stages for the Artemis III to V missions.
