New vehicle registrations in the UK rose 6.6% year over year in March to 380,627, with Ford Motor (F) as one of the month's market share leaders, the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders or SMMT said in a Tuesday report.
Ford vehicle registrations in March declined by roughly 19% to 19,178, but the company still cornered more than a 5% market share for the month, according to data from SMMT.
Data from SMMT also showed that Toyota (TM) car registrations fell by 7.6% to 17,105, while its Lexus brand saw a 2.6% fall in registrations to 2,674.
Meanwhile, Stellantis' (STLA) Fiat vehicle registrations declined by more than 43% to 1,167, according to SMMT.
Tesla (TSLA) vehicle registrations rose by 20% to 8,599 and Xpeng (XPEV) registrations grew 819% to 331, the report said.
