Saizeriya's (TYO:7581) profit attributable to owners of the parent surged 21% to 5.64 billion yen for the fiscal first half from 4.67 billion yen a year earlier.
The restaurant operator's earnings per share increased to 114.19 yen from 94.47 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Wednesday.
Net sales jumped 18% to 142.9 billion yen for the six months ended Feb. 28 from 121.6 billion yen in the prior year.
For the full fiscal year ending Aug. 31 the company expects attributable profit of 11.8 billion yen, basic EPS of 240.40 yen, and net sales of 297 billion yen.
Saizeriya plans to pay a fiscal year-end dividend of 30 yen per share for the current year, which is similar to the amount paid in the prior fiscal year.
