0925 ET - AI will be deployed faster than prior technological transformations, potentially running ahead of the workforce's ability to adapt, says JPMorgan Chief Executive Jamie Dimon in the company's shareholder letter. AI "will affect virtually every function, application and process in the company," Dimon says, adding that AI will eventually reduce the workweek in the developed world. "AI will definitely eliminate some jobs, while it enhances others," Dimon says. "In prior technological transformations, labor had time to adjust and retrain." He says businesses and the government have options to incentivize retraining, income assistance, reskilling, early retirement and relocation for those whose jobs are hurt by AI.
