Energy stocks were leaning lower pre-bell Monday, with the State Street Energy Select Sector SPDR ETF (XLE) declining by 0.6%.
The United States Oil Fund (USO) was 1% lower and The United States Natural Gas Fund (UNG) was up 2%.
Front-month US West Texas Intermediate crude oil was 1% lower at $110.44 per barrel at the New York Mercantile Exchange. Global benchmark North Sea Brent crude oil fell 0.5% to $108.53 per barrel, and natural gas futures were up 1.2% at $2.83 per 1 million British Thermal Units.
Atlas Energy Solutions (AESI) stock was down more than 12% after the company said it plans to launch a $300 million private offering of convertible senior notes due 2031.
