Broadcom Seen Getting Drawn Into Fundraising For Customer Data Centers -- Market Talk

Dow Jones04-08

0917 ET - Like AMD and Nvidia, Broadcom appears to be getting drawn into supporting fundraising of customer AI data centers, demonstrating the strain the industry is facing from the massive spending data centers require, says Seaport analyst Jay Goldberg, who downgrades Broadcom to neutral. The company's recent release with Anthropic mentions "discussions with certain operational and financial partners," suggesting Broadcom will have some involvement with the funding of Anthropic's data center, Goldberg says. "While we remain upbeat about Broadcom's core business, we see further upside as capped by rising industry constraints," he says, questioning the ability for the company's announced deployments to meet the planned timelines.
