Anta's 1Q Retail Sales Growth Could Exceed Market Expectations -- Market Talk

Dow Jones04-08 15:56

0756 GMT - Anta Sports Products' 1Q retail sales growth is likely to exceed market expectations across its three business lines, say Citi analysts Xiaopo Wei and Vincent Young in a note. They expect the spread of its 1Q retail sales growth over its full-year guidance to be wider than its peer Li Ning's, given Anta's conservative projection. They also note Anta's Fila business has posted quicker recent growth. Anta's majority shareholder raising its stake suggests strong confidence in the company's outlook, they add. Citi opens a 30-day upside catalyst watch on Anta's shares and maintains its buy rating and HK$107.00 target price. The stock is up 0.5% at HK$80.95. (megan.cheah@wsj.com)
