0913 GMT - Infineon Technologies is expected to raise its sales guidance for the fiscal year to the end of September when it reports earnings for its fiscal second quarter on May 6, UBS analysts write in a research note. The German chip maker is projecting a moderate sales increase in fiscal 2026 from the 14.66 billion euros it reported for fiscal 2025. It also expects artificial intelligence to contribute about 1.5 billion euros in sales. Analysts say the company could guide for high-single-digit growth, with AI sales rising to around 1.7 billion euros. They cite AI-related price increases and robust demand for AI chips and semiconductors used in industrial machinery. Infineon shares trade 2.2% higher at 39.83 euros. (mauro.orru@wsj.com)
