Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group to Expand North Carolina Operations

Sumitomo Mitsui Financial Group plans to invest tens of millions of dollars to expand its operations in Charlotte, North Carolina.
North Carolina Gov. Josh Stein said Tuesday that the Japanese company would invest $50.5 million in Mecklenburg County, and that the expansion would create 2,000 jobs over the course of six years.
