UnitedHealth $(UNH)$, Humana $(HUM)$, Elevance Health (ELV), CVS Health $(CVS)$, Molina Healthcare (MOH), Centene $(CNC)$: Shares of the health-and-insurance companies rose premarket after the Trump administration said it would increase payments to Medicare insurers.
Universal Music Group (NL:UMG): The world's largest music company received a takeover bid from Bill Ackman's Pershing Square that values the company at around $60 billion. Shares jumped more than 10% in Amsterdam.
Broadcom $(AVGO)$: The chip manufacturer said it will develop and supply custom artificial-intelligence chips to Google and additional computing capacity to Anthropic. Shares rose 3% premarket.
Samsung Electronics (KR: 005930): The company projected a more than eightfold jump in first-quarter earnings as the AI boom drives demand for its chips. Shares climbed 1.8% in South Korea.
Levi Strauss $(LEVI)$ is set to report earnings after the closing bell.
