Dow Jones04-07

11:58 ET--A major investor in methanol producer Methanex is taking advantage of the stock's massive run up in recent weeks to take some profit. The company's stock has risen strongly, up 64% in 2026, and more than double over the last 52 weeks. Netherlands-based OCI, a fertilizers, ammonia and methanol company with a roughly 8.6% stake in Methanex, says the higher value "may provide additional flexibility with respect to potential future disposals." OCI's board has authorized management to "consider selling Methanex shares from time to time, as and when it determines appropriate." Shares are up 2.6% to C$87.74. (adriano.marchese@wsj.com)
