0413 GMT - India refiners may undertake selective fuel price hikes, particularly in aviation turbine fuel and diesel, after the end of the month when polls in five Indian states conclude, Citi analyst Saurabh Handa says in a note. Retail fuel consumers have largely been shielded from rising oil prices caused by the Middle East crisis, with domestic oil marketing companies and refiners absorbing the losses, the note adds. While domestic cooking gas prices were raised by a modest 7% in early March, the analyst expects OMC losses to have widened to 400 rupees per cylinder following April increases in Saudi oil product prices.
