China Railway Group 2026 Outlook Remain Muted -- Market Talk

Dow Jones04-07

0438 GMT - China Railway Group's 2026 earnings outlook remains muted given lower-than-expected top-line guidance, Citi analyst Eric Lay says in a note. Management's guidance for a 7% on-year decline in 2026 revenue is below the bank's estimate of flat growth. Citi has cut its 2026-27 earnings estimates by 13%-20%. However, it maintains a buy rating, citing growth prospects from a recovery in China's infrastructure spending. Citi also lowers its target price to HK$4.80 from HK$5.10 to reflect the earnings revision. The stock was last quoted at HK$4.080.(venkat.pr@wsj.com)
