Copper output from Chile's Codelco down nearly 10% in February
SANTIAGO, April 10 (Reuters) - Copper production from Chilean state-run miner Codelco [RIC:RIC:COBRE.UL] fell 9.8% year-on-year in February to 88,500 metric tons, data from copper commission Cochilco showed on Friday.
Production at BHP's BHP.AX Escondida mine, the world's largest copper mine, fell 7.4% to 105,000 tons. At Collahuasi, another major copper mine jointly run by Glencore GLEN.L and Anglo American AAL.L, output rose 56.5% to 26,600 tons.
