Market Chatter: Nvidia-backed Nebius in Talks With AI21 Labs

Nvidia (NVDA)-backed Nebius is in talks to buy Israeli-based AI startup AI21 Labs, The Information reported Wednesday.

According to the news outlet, the deal is expected to contribute to Nebius' plan to expand AI services for its customers.

AI21 considered a sale last year to Nvidia for as much as $3 billion which failed to come to fruition, the report said.

Nvidia, Nebius, and AI21 did not immediately reply to MT Newswires' request for comment.

In March, Nvidia and Nebius entered into a partnership wherein Nvidia agreed to invest $2 billion in Nebius.
