Singapore Consumer Staples to Benefit From Government Measures -- Market Talk
Dow Jones04-09
0310 GMT - Singapore consumer-staples stocks and suburban retail REITs could benefit from the government's latest support measures for households amid the Middle East conflict, RHB Research's Shekhar Jaiswal says. Vouchers should lift spending on essential goods, neighborhood food-and-beverage outlets and daily-needs retailers. RHB prefers names such as Sheng Siong Group, citing its wide heartlands store network. It also notes Frasers Centrepoint Trust, whose suburban malls include supermarkets and F&B tenants.
