Eicher Motors' New Royal Enfield Electric Motorcycle Likely Needs Improved Versions -- Market Talk

Dow Jones15:17

0717 GMT - Better versions of Eicher Motors' new Royal Enfield electric motorcycle are likely needed to appeal to the masses, Nomura analysts say in a research report. The Flying Flea C6 is lightweight and easy to maneuver, but its estimated 100-kilometer range makes it viable only for city commuting, the analysts say. The newly launched motorcycle probably needs to evolve further in terms of battery size, charging and comfort to appeal to mainstream customers, they add. Nomura has a neutral rating and a target price of 7,827.00 rupees on the Indian automaker's shares, which are 3.7% higher at 7,406.05 rupees. (ronnie.harui@wsj.com)
