China mulls financial aid for airlines hit by oil shock, Bloomberg News reports

April 9 (Reuters) - China is considering financial relief and other measures for its state-run airlines after the war in Iran sent fuel costs soaring, Bloomberg News reported on Thursday, citing people familiar with the matter.

Mergers, government subsidies, preferential tax treatment and state-backed low-interest loans are options being explored by authorities, the report added.

Air China 601111.SS, China Eastern Airlines 600115.SS and China Southern Airlines 600029.SS are the three big Chinese state-run airlines.
