The property is designed with high-caliber materials and includes a lap pool on a 1.32-acre private, tree-lined plot.

Hollywood actor Tate Donovan is parting ways with the beautiful Texas property he has owned for the last decade, listing the picturesque dwelling for just a hair under $1.7 million, Realtor.com can reveal.

Property records show that the 62-year-old former "Friends" star and his wife, Corry Scheuerman, put their four-bedroom, 3.5-bathroom Austin, Texas, dwelling on the market on March 19 with an asking price of $1.89 million. Days later, that ask was lowered by $200,000 to $1.69 million.

Because Texas is a nondisclosure state, it's not known exactly how much the couple paid for the home, which they purchased in January 2016, however its previous listing prices suggest that they stand to earn a significant profit on the sale, should they find a buyer willing to pay close to their latest ask.

Before being snapped up by the spouses, who wed in 2015, the home-which is located in the Hill Country and is listed with Courtney Oldham of Compass $(COMP)$-had been on the market for just $685,000, having initially been listed for $849,000 in January 2015.

The dwelling is located on a lush 1.32-acre tree-lined plot, with the natural foliage that surrounds the home helping to add an extra layer of privacy, creating an oasis-like environment in the backyard.

Designed to exude a feeling of "understated luxury," the well-appointed abode has been designed with only the most high-caliber materials, starting with its limestone facade, which blends beautifully with the greenery that surrounds it.

"From the moment you arrive, the home's timeless Texas limestone facade, rich wood beams, and refined architectural detailing create an unmistakable sense of understated luxury," the description notes.

The layout of the home is meant to further amplify its stunning surroundings, with the open floor plan and enormous windows helping to fill the dwelling with light, while turning the grounds into a kind of living artwork that creates a beautiful backdrop in every room.

"Expansive living with high ceilings and beautiful coffered wood accents, allowing natural light to pour through windows that frame views of the surrounding landscape and patio spaces," the listing continues.

The main floor of the home, which spans more than 3,600 square feet, features multiple living spaces, including an elegant living room, complete with a marble fireplace, as well as a chef's kitchen with a sizable center island, ideal for gathering loved ones together.

The kitchen is complemented by a breakfast alcove that is nestled into a windowed nook overlooking the back porch and the swimming pool. For more formal occasions, there is a dining room located just off the living room.

To maximize privacy, the primary suite, which includes a beautiful bathroom with its own enormous soaking tub, is located in its own "quiet wing" of the dwelling, along with a private office.

The other three bedrooms are all located in an additional wing that also houses many of the home's "generous entertaining ideas." That wing is also home to two full bathrooms, ideal for guests.

However, the listing notes that it is the outdoor offerings that truly make the property sing, beginning with its plum location near a local creek and woodland, which afford the dwelling incredible privacy from prying eyes-a must-have for any celebrity homeowner.

"Backing to the natural beauty of woods and a creek, the property enjoys exceptional privacy and a sense of peaceful seclusion," the description continues.

Donovan has taken full advantage of the home's surroundings, regularly sharing videos of the garden on his Instagram account, including a January 2023 clip of a flock of robins visiting a birdbath on the grounds.

Other highlights of the grounds include a 80-foot lap pool, designed for those "who truly appreciate swimming as a daily ritual," as well as plenty of space for outdoor dining and relaxation areas. A covered porch houses a sizable grill for outdoor meal preparation.

There is also a fenced garden in the backyard, ideal for those who want to grow fruit or vegetables.

"Flanked by limestone terraces and surrounded by the beauty of the landscape, it transforms the backyard into a private wellness retreat. Here, mornings begin with sunlight filtering through the trees, afternoons unfold beside the pool, and evenings settle into the quiet rhythm of Hill Country living," the listing concludes.

While it is unclear why Donovan and his wife have decided to sell their Lone Star State base, they do already own another home in California, where the actor is regularly seen spending time with Biggie, one of his beloved dogs.

Property records show that the actor owns a three-bedroom Santa Monica dwelling that he purchased for $1.63 million in 2009-and which is located less than a mile from the beach.
