Somnigroup agreed to acquire Leggett & Platt for $1.6 billion; including the assumption of debt, the total deal value is $2.5 billion. "Somigroup to Acquire Supplier Leggett & Platt in Deal Worth $2.5B" at 6:52 a.m. ET on April 13 and a subsequent update, as well as "Somnigroup CEO Says Leggett & Platt Deal Helps Navigate Supply Chain Issues, Diversify Revenue -- Interview" at 9:18 a.m. said Somigroup agreed to acquire Leggett & Platt in an all-stock deal worth $2.5 billion. Also, a previous offer, for $12 a share, valued Leggett & Platt at $1.64 billion. The earlier articles incorrectly said that offer had valued the company at $1.63 billion; it didn't include the per share price. Meanwhile, the recent offer implied a value of nearly $11.36 a share, based on Somnigroup's closing price on Friday. The earlier offer would have left Leggett & Platt shareholders owning 8% of the combined company. The earlier articles didn't include this information. The correct version follows:
