WeRide's (WRD) autonomous driving software will power the Aion N60 sport utility vehicle co-developed with GAC Aion, which has launched pre-sale activities, according to a statement Thursday.
This marks the first mass-production deployment of WeRide's advanced driver assistance system on the Qualcomm (QCOM) Snapdragon platform, WeRide said.
This also makes WeRide the first provider to implement autonomous driving systems on both Qualcomm and Nvidia (NVDA) computing architectures, the company added.
The navigation technology uses real-time behavioral prediction and environmental perception to manage complex traffic patterns and is trained on decision-making algorithms using a proprietary simulation model designed to replicate urban road networks and extreme weather conditions, WeRide said.
