Freeport Indonesia aims to produce 1.1 billion pounds of copper cathode, 0.8 mln oz of gold in 2026

JAKARTA, April 13 (Reuters) - Freeport Indonesia is aiming to produce 1.1 billion pounds of copper cathode and around 0.8 million ounces of gold this year, chief executive Tony Wenas said on Monday.

The company is ramping its production after a fatal landslide disrupted its operations in the second half of last year.

In 2027, Freeport Indonesia projects output of 1.5 billion pounds of copper cathode and 1.3 million ounces of gold, he added.
