Cosmos Pharmaceutical's (TYO:3349) profit attributable to owners of the parent rose 1.8% to 22.8 billion yen for the nine months ended Feb. 28 from 22.3 billion yen a year earlier.
The pharmaceutical firm's basic earnings per share increased to 287.02 yen from 281.91 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Monday.
Net sales jumped 7.7% to 810.4 billion yen from 752.3 billion yen in the prior year.
For the fiscal year ending May 31, the company expects attributable profit of 31 billion yen, basic EPS of 391.13 yen, and net sales of 1.057 trillion yen.
Cosmos Pharmaceutical plans to pay a year-end dividend of 37.50 yen per share for the current year, bringing the total annual payout to 75 yen, which is higher than the 70 yen paid in the year-ago period.
