K92 Mining Production Falls Slightly in 1Q -- Commodity Comment

K92 Mining production slipped in the first quarter, due largely to a lower grade of gold.

On production:

The company processed 142,017 metric tons of ore, up from 103,449 tons a year earlier.

Gold-equivalent ounces was 46,743, down slightly from 47,817 ounces.

Free grade gold was at 10.2 grams per ton, down from 14.3 grams, while copper was at 0.56%, up from 0.5%.

Production in the quarter was made up of 44,022 ounces of gold, 1.7 million pounds copper and 38,845 ounces silver.
