Warner Music Group is partnering with TuStreams, agreeing to serve as the global distribution partner for the company's Música Mexicana catalog.
Warner said Monday it took a minority stake in TuStreams, and that the two companies will also collaborate on joint artist signings, artists and repertoire, and creative development.
Financial terms of the deal weren't disclosed.
Alejandro Duque, the president of Warner Music Latin America and the company's ADA business, said Warner is prioritizing Música Mexicana, which he said is one of the fastest-growing worldwide genres.
"By combining TuStreams' creative DNA and unmatched ability to identify the next generation of hitmakers with the global scale and long-term artist development expertise of Warner Music Group, we are uniquely positioned to take this culture further, faster than ever before," Duque said.
