Trump Says NATO 'Won't Be There' for U.S. in the Future -- WSJ

President Trump criticized the North Atlantic Treaty Organization on social media late Tuesday for failing to back the U.S. in the Iran war. "NATO wasn't there for us, and they won't be there for us in the future!" Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
Trump has made similar assertions about NATO and its allies. He has threatened to withdraw the U.S. from the alliance, while Europe is accelerating a fallback plan in case he does.
