Alarm.com (ALRM) said Wednesday it has rolled out new features for its Universal Communicator to simplify upgrading legacy security systems without requiring full panel replacements.
The updates add Smart Connector functionality, Verizon LTE support, and enhanced firmware, enabling faster installations and more reliable connectivity for residential and commercial users, the company said.
The enhancements allow customers to retain existing panels and sensors while adding remote control, alerts, and automation, helping to lower upgrade costs and expand access to connected security, it added.
