Recent coverage has focused on Strategy's sharp pullback over the past year and how it contrasts with its very large multi year return. This has put the stock back on many investors' watchlists. That combination of short term weakness and long term strength is an important backdrop for thinking about what a fair price might look like today. Strategy currently trades at a P/B of 1.13x. That sits below the Software industry average P/B of 2.68x and below the peer group average of 8.14x. On the surface, that points to the market placing a lower value on Strategy’s equity base than on many of its listed peers.
