Alphabet's (GOOG, GOOGL) Google was sent preliminary findings by the European Commission on proposed steps to comply with the Digital Markets Act, the EC said Thursday.
Under the proposed measures, the tech giant should allow third-party search engines to access search data, including ranking, query, click and view data, on fair, reasonable and non-discriminatory terms, according to the European Commission.
The EC has invited interested third parties to submit their views on the proposed measures by May 1 and said it will adopt a final decision, which will be binding on Google, by July 27.
Google did not immediately respond to MT Newswires' request for comment.
