Hopes of Mideast Resolution Could Add to Fed Rate Cut Expectations -- Market Talk
Dow Jones04-17 13:13
0513 GMT - Hopes of a resolution to the U.S.-Iran conflict have contributed to markets' softer pricing of the Federal Reserve's interest-rate outlook, SEB's Jussi Hiljanen says in a note. "We think forwards may start to price in another rate cut if de-escalation continues, and particularly if the labor market weakens, with pricing becoming slightly more front-loaded," the chief rates strategist says. Markets currently price in a 10bp Fed rate cut in 2026, according to LSEG. (emese.bartha@wsj.com)
