1448 ET - New proposed banking regulations by Vice Chair for Supervision Michelle Bowman could shrink the Fed's balance sheet, San Francisco Fed President Mary Daly says. "Reserve demand could come down, and that would mean that an overall balance sheet size would fall at the Fed...But it's early days," she said at the UC Berkeley's Fisher Center for Real Estate & Urban Economics' Spring 2026 Policy Advisory Board meeting.
