0911 GMT - Markets raise expectations of the Bank of England increasing interest rates in the coming months as oil prices rise. Energy supply disruptions due to the closure of the Strait of Hormuz have led to higher oil prices and renewed concerns about inflation. Investors currently price in a total of 30 basis points of BOE interest-rate rises in 2026, LSEG data show. Markets priced in only 25 basis points of BOE rate rises this year on Friday after Iran announced the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz. (miriam.mukuru@wsj.com)
