SD Guthrie Likely to Post Weaker 1Q Core Net Profit -- Market Talk

0208 GMT - SD Guthrie is likely to report weaker 1Q core net profit than 4Q, UOB Kay Hian analyst Lester Siew says in a note. The palm oil company's plantation segment is expected to post softer earnings as its fresh fruit bunch output declined during the low production season. UOB Kay Hian expects the company to report 1Q core net profit of 400 million ringgit-410 million ringgit, down 11%-13% from 4Q. It maintains a buy rating on the stock and its target price of 6.90 ringgit. Shares are 0.3% lower at 5.97 ringgit. (amanda.lee@wsj.com)
