A senior Iranian official, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, said that the cease-fire between Lebanon and Israel was the result of the resilience of Hezbollah and the unity of the "axis of resistance," an informal Iranian-led alliance comprising several militia groups in the Middle East.
Ghalibaf, Iran's parliament speaker, said in a statement on X that the agreement would be approached with caution and that they would remain united until victory is fully realized. He also thanked Pakistan for helping secure the cease-fire.
"We remain true to our pledge," he added.
