EQT Fee-Generating AUM is Light, But Software Disclosure is Welcome -- Market Talk

Dow Jones04-22 16:56

0856 GMT - EQT's fee-generating assets under management is light of expectations, but new detail on software exposure is welcome, Jefferies analyst Thomas Mills writes. Fee-generating assets under management as at the end of the first quarter came in at 141.6 billion euros, versus consensus at 144.1 billion euros, he says. EQT said its software exposure represents around 7% of total fee-generating assets under management. "New and specific disclosure around software exposure is welcome, even if some will argue it now looks narrow in scope." Operating performance across the software portfolio over the past 12 months has remained resilient, he adds. On fundraising, the second quarter and second half will be more important, and there will be an ongoing debate around the outlook for exits. Shares rise 1.2%. (dominic.chopping@wsj.com)
