Danone's Results Dented by Infant Formula Recalls, but Positive Overall -- Market Talk
Dow Jones04-22
0918 GMT - Danone's first-quarter results were weighed down a bit by the effects of an infant-formula recall in parts of EMEA, but the category grew overall, Barclays analysts say in a note. The business performance of the French food company's specialized-nutrition unit remained positive with organic sales growth of 1.9% driven by strength in China, the analysts add. Overall, Danone seems to be on track with its full-year organic sales growth guidance of 3% to 5%. Shares are up 2.9% to 68.34 euros. (aimee.look@wsj.com)
