1230 ET - Beer should get a boost this summer thanks to the World Cup and America's 250th anniversary, but UBS analysts aren't convinced the lift will be enough to buoy Molson Coors. "In our view, trends getting 'less bad' could limit the downside from here," the analysts say in a research note. However, they add the boost seems to be already largely included in both Molson's guidance and Wall Street's estimates, meaning it is not likely to move the needle. The same goes for the incremental cost pressures that many CPG companies are currently facing, the analysts add. They expect Molson to maintain its outlook when it reports 1Q earnings before the opening bell on April 30. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
