L'Oreal's Strong Performance Doesn't Look Like an Anomaly -- Market Talk
Dow Jones04-23
1654 GMT - L'Oreal's strong first-quarter performance extends trends seen in the last quarter and is not likely to be an anomaly or driven by technical tailwinds, RBC analysts say. Even when adjusting for the net impact of the company's IT transformation program, underlying growth was 6.7% compared with RBC's forecast of 5.6%, they say in a research note. "L'Oreal has returned to form, delivering solid underlying growth...a meaningful acceleration from fourth-quarter trends," the analysts say. Shares in the French hair care and beauty company closed 0.1% lower at 344.90 euros. (sarah.sloat@wsj.com)
