Altius Minerals expects to report an increase in first-quarter royalty revenue, driven by higher commodity prices and an increased lithium royalty stream.
The diversified mining company said Tuesday it expects first-quarter royalty revenue of 26.4 million Canadian dollars ($19.3 million), up from C$15 million a year earlier.
The growth is broad-based in the quarter, with notable increases in base metals, rising to an expected C$9.1 million from C$6.79 million, thanks largely to higher copper prices.
Altius sees lithium royalty revenue rising in the quarter to C$5.43 million, due to its acquisition of Lithium Royalty Company, up from C$51,000 a year ago.
Potash royalty revenue is expected to rise to C$4.51 million from C$3.89 million last year.
