Cape EMS Forays into Advanced Interconnect Engineering; Shares Rise 3%

Cape EMS (KLSE:CEB) established a manufacturing and engineering platform through a joint venture with New Grand Tech (HK), according to a Tuesday Malaysian bourse filing.

Shares of Cape EMS rose over 3% in Wednesday's afternoon trade.

The platform, GrandCape, will focus on flexible flat cables, AI data center interconnects, and battery energy storage system solutions, marking the group's expansion into advanced connectivity and energy systems.

The initiative positions Cape EMS within the global AI infrastructure and GPU supply chain, supporting high-performance computing and data center applications. It also strengthens its exposure to the electric vehicle and renewable energy storage segments, the filing said.
