SiteMinder (ASX:SDR) will be insulated from artificial intelligence (AI) disruption, with its role as a neutral provider of infrastructure that allows hotels to connect their inventory and rates to AI-powered search and booking platforms, Jefferies said in a Wednesday note.
The company will not be redundant in the AI era as it acts as the "execution" layer that turns AI recommendations into actual hotel bookings.
AI models handle the "discovery" layer, and they rely on the company to manage the connections to tens of thousands of individual hotel and property management systems, the financial services firm said.
Jefferies maintained its buy rating and AU$5.10 price target on SiteMinder.
SiteMinder shares fell nearly 1% in afternoon trade Thursday.
