Honeywell Cautious on Outlook Due to Ongoing War in Middle East -- Market Talk

Dow Jones04-24 00:20

1220 ET - Honeywell International backs its outlook for the year, despite what CEO Vimal Kapur calls a strong start to the year. "We are taking a prudent approach to our guidance given the uncertainties surrounding the conflict in the Middle East," he says on a call with analysts. Logistical challenges and shipment delays caused a roughly 1% impact to revenue during the recent quarter, Kapur says. Despite the disruptions, the industrial conglomerate remains confident in its ability to accelerate growth during the second half of the year, as demand continues to be strong, he adds. "We continue to effectively manage through this with the safety and well-being of our employee being the top priority," Kapur says. (connor.hart@wsj.com)
