A 2024 tax filing indicated that Catalyst4 held roughly a 95% stake across multiple Nexus investment vehicles.\nThe VC firm, Nexus, had approximately 15 companies in its portfolio. \n\"Our companies have already helped more than 200,000 individuals. In addition, the body of clinical studies arising from this portfolio  — currently 50+ ongoing studies — demonstrates the strong pipeline that has been created, providing a rigorous scientific foundation that has already yielded significant breakthroughs,\" Parramon wrote.\nBrin is currently the world's fourth-richest individual, with a net worth of $269 billion, according to the Bloomberg Billionaires Index.\nThe Google co-founder has spent decades supporting brain research, including studies on Parkinson's disease, a central focus of his philanthropy. \nForbes reported Brin has contributed at least $1.75 billion toward advancing understanding of the condition, driven by his own genetic risk mutation and his mother’s diagnosis.
