Bronco Billy's Profit Surges 86% in Q1

Bronco Billy's (TYO:3091) profit attributable to owners of the parent surged 86% to 693 million yen for the first quarter from 373 million yen a year earlier.

The restaurant chain operator's earnings per share increased to 46.50 yen from 25.02 yen a year ago, according to a Tokyo bourse filing on Tuesday.

Net sales increased by 13% to 8.24 billion yen in the three months ended March 31 from 7.28 billion yen in the prior-year period.

For the full year, the company expects attributable profit of 2 billion yen, basic EPS of 134.34 yen, and net sales of 33 billion yen.

Bronco Billy plans to pay interim and year-end dividends of 14 yen per share each for the year, which is higher than the amount paid in the year-ago period.
