Tata Power (NSE:TATAPOWER, BOM:500400) has incorporated a wholly owned subsidiary, TP Urja, according to a filing.
Shares of the company rose over 1% in late Friday's trade.
The new entity will provide power and energy-related services as well as other forms of energy, the filing said.
TP Urja has been set up with an initial capital of 500,000 rupees, it added.
