Apogee Enterprises shares rose after the company reported higher fiscal fourth-quarter profit and revenue that topped Wall Street estimates.
Shares of the company, a purveyor of architectural-building products and services, rose 8.3% on Friday to $38.55. The stock is up 5.9% year to date.
The company reported a fourth-quarter profit of $16.6 million, or 78 cents a share, compared with $2.49 million, or 11 cents a share, a year earlier.
Adjusted earnings per share were 92 cents a share. Analysts polled by FactSet had expected 88 cents a share.
Sales rose 1.6% to $351.4 million. Analysts were expecting $335.8 million. Sales for the architectural-services segment increased 7.8% to $127.1 million, and sales for performance surfaces climbed 13.5% to $54.3 million.
For fiscal 2027, the company expects sales to range between $1.38 billion and $1.43 billion and adjusted earnings per share of $2.70 to $3.25. Analysts are expecting full-year sales of $1.37 billion and adjusted earnings of $3.09 a share.
