XPeng (XPEV) is in discussions with overseas automakers on potential partnerships as it looks to expand production abroad and commercialize its driver-assistance technology globally, Bloomberg reported Friday, citing comments from Chairman He Xiaopeng.
According to the report, XPeng is weighing plans to build new plants and upgrade existing facilities from 2026 across Europe, Southeast Asia and Latin America, as strong demand in markets like France and Germany has outpaced local production capacity.
The Guangzhou-based company has drawn interest from European automakers, domestic peers and suppliers for its advanced driving systems, which He said are adaptable and easy to deploy, Bloomberg added.
XPeng didn't immediately respond to a request for comment from MT Newswires.
